Out there, a ton of beautifully crafted, detailed pen&paper systems exist. You can spent hours creating your first (or 40th) character, enjoy reading through sourcebooks and expansions which describe all the worlds, their inhabitants and locations.
But what if you do not want (or can) dive that deep into the lore of a fantasy world or have not yet started playing one of these in-depth systems?
Imagine a weekend planned in a blockhouse in the mountains or having some friends over for dinner and you want to play something new without reading a massive manual or watching Youtube explanations on how to play a game… This is where DARKWOOD steps on the stage.

To get started, it takes about 10 minutes to delve into the Darkwood.
Even without having read the entire sourcebook, you can begin with the help of info cards that outline the most important rules.
PREMADE CHARACTERS
All classes are ready to go. You can browse through the sourcebook to learn more about your class… and please give your character a name 😉

Our adventure books provide additional support for your quests and adventures. Additionally, we plan to develop an app with a narrator!
